Ive encountered similar thing with a woman in her posh car. She wouldnt move for anything. I got my news paper out in the end and had a good read while the penny dropped she had to reverse. This however is a classic and shows the average intelligence of UK drivers. Dont think to much of the driver behind you though.

Seems like she's got nothing better to do with her life. Get back in your car and sort the mess out, you can't sort anything out on foot - get off your entitled pedestal. The learner car went through Amber which is fine, the problem was either incorrectly timed lights (doubt it) or red light jumpers.
