I also think it's better to try and retain a consistent position whilst cycling, unless cicrumstances dictate otherwise. Some of those cyclists were riding like it was a race. Too risky.. either ride in the cycle lane or ride primary - I would have chosen the latter due to the poor cycle lane design and the fact my speed would have been more in line with traffic flow. Plus, it would better deter the kind of atrocious driving you saw here..
Perhaps the lane was closed at the moment the KIA driver crossed the sign. In that case he simply doesn't know yet that the lane is available again. As a consequence, everyone past the sign could think you're selfish (while you aren't). You could indicatie and explain that the drivers on your left are free to merge along...
24:32 "You're not putting that on social media, are you?"
Good GOD! Shouldn't you know this now? People can and will. Now what? You're a public servant in a public space - he CAN film your interraction. You also approached him, not the other way round. Think otherwise? Go for it. See what happens when your opinions contravine the law, as has been re-iterated countless times by the Chief of Police.
Photography is not a crime. You cannot invent an arrest or detainment for it!!!
I think the only thing you NEED is an education on the law. I would not even give you the courtesy of a conversation, given your apparent attitude - and I certainly would not recommend you becoming a law unto yourself; ignorance of the actual law and an assumption you, or your company, or its policy or policies are above that law, is a bad idea, love..
All they can cite is treapass IF beyond that crossing it's private. There are also conditions for that, including adequate signage. But even on private land, they cannot physically stop you filming; they can only cite trespass, which is a civil matter.
Who do you think you are, yelling order and using other forms of aggression. Please GROW UP! None of you have ANY authority to order that camera person around. Get used to it or find another job perhaps. Oh, and I would also advise on staying within the law..
OK I agree the driver was errant.
