I would have thought that Bookers would have been looking through their CCTV on the lorry - hopefully the driver will be fired as to drive and use his vehicle as a weapon is dangerous - could have been far worse than just a wing mirror, he should be totally ashamed of his actions and banned.

For reference, the vehicle in question is owned by Bookers LTD, and this incident too place on Straight Road, Colchester.

Get your insurance company to deal with it. Let his employer have the messing about to do. Wing mirrors aren't exactly cheap nowadays and you'll need a courtesy car to go about your day while it's in for repair.

And agreed it's up to him to stop, and it's not as if he couldn't see the long line of cars both in front and behind - he was just impatient and decided that his delivery was more important than others lives - could have been hell of a lot worse.
Imagine if it was a family with kids, and they had been driving a car that was wider - could have been hell of a lot worse than a broken wing-mirror.
Still it's on him and it's his 7-years bad luck lol

This driver is very responsible. He is quick for traffic to stay flowing, and does not waste his time on small things! Would buy this guy a beer if I met him.

I do a lot of driving as a professional driver and the amount of bad driving I see is incredible...90% of the time the car is on EU plate - to drive in the UK you should be forced to take a test first.
Might start not giving way and crashing into them in the future.
