You did not have to stay until he moved over. The highway code states that you MUST move into the lane on the left once you have finished overtaking. So you should have been in lane 1 whatever he was doing. If you were both travelling at the speed limit you would not have done a nearside overtake anyway. The highway code also says don't let other drivers affect your own driving. Do what you have to do and leave them be.
The rider has been racing it up & down the street ever since he got it. Revving it in front of his mates late at night and causing trouble all down the street.
Its a car that has a bit extra power people. Obviously hes going to accelerate a few times and speed a little,but seriously if he wasnt a good driver,he wouldnt be on the road.
