This absolute imbecile of a BMW driver was driving down the main high street in Benson then just decided to stop and do a ridiculous "burn out" with his spare wheel. Smoke everywhere. I then shaked my head in disgust and then fell over the curb.
At 1300 hrs a driver in a white van was travelling from Bolderwood towards the A35 cross road. I was one of two cyclists riding downhill at 18mph on the road. The driver very aggressively blew his horn and shouted out of the cab window because the road was too narrow for him to pass. Eventually (after approx. 0.5 miles) he did pass us at a blind spot approaching the brow of a hill. Fortunately there was no oncoming vehicle.
This Silver Skoda was travelling at 40MPH in all zones. in a 50MPH zone they did 40. In 60, they did 40. And in a 30, they did 40. Seemingly oblivious to what the speed limits were, and the huge queue behind.
This motorcyclist has absolutely no idea how close he came to causing an accident. He basically went between two lanes of three -- the left and middle ones go straight on, and the right hand one turns right.
He stopped, behind the wait line, directly to the left of traffic turning right. When the light went green, he immediately turned right -- directly in front of another car that had already started moving. An emergency stop occurred. This motorcyclist made no acknowledgement of their mistake; seemingly totally oblivious to how close they were to being knocked off.
This behaviour is a prime example of why motorcyclists get into so many accidents!
Details: Texting Whilst Driving on Multiple Occasions
Location: Bordon, Hampshire
Vehicle: Silver Vauxhall Corsa (+ White Rose Vauxhall sticker)
This spiky, blonde-haired teenage-looking guy was texting at every available opportunity as he was moving in traffic. A huge percentage of his time was spent looking down at his lap rather than at the road ahead. When traffic stopped, due to his distraction he failed to move in good time, causing the light ahead to go red.
He can be identified by the ridiculous and rubbish loud music pumping out of the down windows, even if it is a cold day. If this is you reading this -- not everyone likes your style of music, and quit messing about whilst driving. Concentrate on the road!
Good morning! From Nigel at bar last night in the angel
