The driver of this car sees a vehicle pulling out from a side road, they then decide its a good idea to accelerate towards them and give a hand signal that is not in the highway code. I bet you didn't do that on your driving test?
And I'd like to see you do that to a traffic cop car.
Do you remember what your instructor taught you about appropriate speed?
You had to stop and give way shortly after anyway.
