As the light turned green, I set off and a second later this driver decided to honk at me, he then hurled down his window to tell me to "get in the bike lane". Only for the driver to turn off into a petrol station about 100 yards down the road. (Yeah it was tempting to pull in too, but common sense told me not to!)
What was the point in all that? What did you benefit? About 2 seconds, and if you're willing to put a cyclist in danger over getting there two seconds faster, then it does really show how ignorant you are.
And if you want to know, I did not use the bike lane as it was a turn lane as well and I did not want to risk being left hooked by a car, the cycle lane in question is poorly thought out. And besides, there is no law requiring me to use cycle lanes. I am entitled to use the road, just like everyone else. Please learn to have some patience, and share the road!
Absolute moron. Pulled out onto the main road straight in front of my car as I was travelling 30mph. Had to sound the horn and do an emergency stop and he just carried on regardless. If I had carried on driving the 4 of us in my car would have had serious injuries.
Awful driver. Complete nutcase. Reported him to the police today. Overtook on a 50 in pouring rain on Mansfield Road. Then overtook two cars in one go going into oncoming traffic. Idiot. Hope he gets his karma.
Nearly ran into the back of my car which was stationary with Hazard lights on due to a broken down car infront. Doing circa 40mph in a 30 and looking down at the radio / Mobile. Would of had around 50m to stop had she been watching the road, ended up swerving up the kerb on to the path. Proceeded to be agressive when a pedestrian complained at her.
