yea, fair point on the video, not really an expert in this stuff. It would have shown the speeds involved and that I had to jam on the brakes and that he then then stopped and blocked the exit (the lorry was stationary).

The biker threatened to break his skull and punched his wing mirror. The taxi driver simply removed himself from the situation. The bike was simply in the way.

Ah, but your mistake was thinking that a BMW driver (even driving an old beat-up one) would actually stop, roundabout or not! He's now moving onto tailgating the pickup in front no doubt.

Nissan Micra Stopped and Obstructing Marked Bike Area at Traffic Lights
Nothing here to get too excited about, but just the sort of low level everyday lack of observation and anticipation I see all the time.
My guess is the driver has never noticed the markings, here or at other traffic lights, does not know what they are for, probably never will, probably doesn't care.
A minute later he was shaking his head at my driving, which may not have been text book, but was perfectly safe.
