I've been blocked in before from my drive, needing to get to hospital. Rang police, naturally of no help. Pointed out to them I'd only done this to make 'reasonable attempt to identify driver' which GDPR prevented their passing on. I would now under the highways act do minimum damage to vehicle to allow my access to the highway from my property, this would involve smashing drivers side window, busting steering lock, then moving vehicle by hand to a less obstructing location. Weirdly as I brought up the lump hammer to start the process 5 minutes later, the owner appeared, dived into it and drove off,... my guess is the police weren't totally useless on this occasion and likely contacted said owner's mobile and told them to move it now or else something would happen they'd not be pursuing either. Or timing at 00:10 in a residential street on a Monday morning was an amazing co-incidence.
Break checks a heavy vehicle recovery truck, towing a bus. the tow truck is towing a bus going 50 mph down the motorway while this van pulls from the right hand side of the road to infront of the tow truck (way to close to begin with) and proceeds to break check the vehicle, causing its emergency breaks to kick in and bring the tow truck to a complete stop. not only endangering his own life, any passengers he has and the tow truck driver. but also endangering everyone around the truck to begin with.
