No doubt there were other spaces available, you can clearly see one opposite the car in question, I would suggest (and this will come across as savage) you are just jealous that someone can afford nice things and probably has a better life, rather than being stuck with a kid who will burden you for the rest of your life and then be a burden to others when you are gone
Just to add, the car came so close to knocking the man over that he was thrown back onto the pavement. Car did not appear to stop at exit and look before exiting. Two young occupants (one driver, one passenger). Driver was also smoking and did not appear bothered after nearly knocking the man over.
