WTF?!! How can you NOT see the cyclist? They cyclist wasn't going to fast, was in the correct position and was clearly paying due care and attention (hence they reason the cyclist saw what was about to happen). Me thinks the driver basically didn't give a shit.. pathetic driving.
I'd get a dash cam if you haven't got one. Many a prick has come unstuck the moment they (and their insurers if they have one), realise their "facts" don't add up. Driving like that they are also going to kill someone.. hope the cops see it in time.
Unfortunately this is a common problem for many cyclists.. some drivers simply do not know how to behave around them, and some just don't care. There is simply no excuse for it and yet the first thing idiotic drivers do is try and make excuses such as (non-existent) Road-Tax or saying cyclists should be in the gutter at all times. There's some shockingly poor drivers out there with a terrible attitude, they should be made to re-sit their driving test!
This old girl wasn't having a good day, she flew out of a junction and was nearly hit by the car in front of me. It is a Keep Clear but the lights were green and the traffic flowing, she went round like it was a corner, shockingly bad driving.
Is this the crime of the century? Many people park on yellow lines.. the country is too bloody crowded. Was the car causing a major hazard? Was the car there for days? The driver took the risk. I'm not advocating everyone does it.. I'm saying it's simply a symptom of this crowded isle. Peace.
When you say "acting oddly behind my car" can you please explain in more detail? If you are concerned always pull up and call the police; that or drive to a police station, petrol station or supermarket. Do not be tempted to confront anyone, just pretend you haven't noticed them and go straight to security personnel.
