I agree both drivers were way too close, but the Highway Code does not say you have to give a lanes width, it says
"give motorcyclists, cyclists and horse riders at least as much room as you would when overtaking a car"
This is a really useless rule as some drivers will overtake a car with a foot betweed vehicles, if they then give the same room to a cyclist this is the result, no rule broken but a dangerouse overtake non the less.

I know this round very well and use every week. It's a 1 to 2 mile strate section of Rd. With one farm house. It has great view as you come down the hill towards Buxton of the Rd. It just seems like he was making a safe overtake of spaced out trafic. The person with the camera and sounding the horn don't know what's that about. There is a problem with weekend joy riders on some of the roads near us going 100+ in 40 mph speed limits.

Haha I know the driver of this RS 300 Reg FJ60UMR as he lives on my road. Your right in your comments about mid life crisis!!! (Bear Belly) Drive like a maniac up and down the road, had to stop my daughter playing in the front garden due to drivers like this screaming down the road and yet still living with his parents at his age. Well done mate! what an achievement at your age (Adult) still living with your parents with no responsibilities apart from the turd of a car, which is polished weekly. Gimp!
